TAJAN is located in the heart of Paris, in the upscale 8th district near the Madeleine, in a 1920s “hôtel particulier” with a stunning art deco glass roof; its open space of over 400 square meters is perfectly suited to both an exhibition space and an auction room. Moreover, this space, with its moveable walls, can be easily transformed from an intimate to an imposing setting. Our extensive experience has proven that both our unique setting and our careful attention to each presentation increase the interest of potential buyers and encourage active bidding.
For over thirty years, our summer live auctions in Monte-Carlo, also in an exclusive setting, have been attracting collectors and professionals from all over the world.
At TAJAN, we provide an extensive international marketing and media coverage for your works of art: our catalogues are sent to subscribers in over 100 countries, our ads appear in newspapers, trade magazines and on the Internet, in France and abroad, and the content of our bilingual website is regularly updated with our latest news and events. In 2009, our buyers belong to about 60 nationalities. Moreover, our sales and record-breaking prices are regularly and prominently featured in the French and foreign media.

OBTAINING A VALUATION
Free Auction Estimates
To obtain an estimate of what your property is likely to fetch at auction, you can:

•come to our walk-in Thursdays: Every Thursday we offer free and confidential estimates, with no obligation to consign.

•attend an Valuation Day in your area.
*Estimates given on the basis of photographs are subject to a later visual examination of the piece(s) concerned. When submitting a photograph, please provide all available information (date, signature, medium, dimension, provenance, condition, etc.).
Inventories
An inventory is the listing, detailed description and itemized value of a collection of artworks and furniture, belonging to an individual, a firm or an organization. Inventories are made on your own premises by TAJAN’s inventory specialists, who travel from Paris to anywhere in France and abroad. A written copy of every inventory is sent to the owner of the property.

• in the event of inheritance, etc...
How to arrange an inventory?
By calling Elsa Kozlowski on +33 1 53 30 30 39 or Murielle Corbières on +33 1 53 30 30 16 (Quotations available on request). No inventory charges will be made on items consigned to TAJAN. When the items will not be consigned until a later date, the inventory charge will be refunded pro rata for the pieces sold.

TAJAN’s specialists are pleased to advise you on the best strategy for including your works and items in our sales ( Auction Schedule). To receive the latest information on the sales offered by the specialist department(s) of your choice, please fill out our Register form. We will keep you inform of the events, dates and venues of the sales, the posting on our website of the catalogs for the specialties you are interested in.
