20th DECORATIVE ARTS

The department puts together every year at least one thematic sale about a period of time, a material or about decorators of the same school. Three prestige sales as well as four sales concerning creation of the 20th century take place. For example, in 2005, we chose to put in our sale called “Lake, scroll and precious wood”, pieces of artists such as Gaston Suisse, Serge Roche, Paul Dupré-Lafon or Armand-Albert Rateau. In 2006 in a more modern sale were represented Jacques Adnet, Christian Krass and Jean Pascaud.

This department, born in the 1980’s, with three important sales about glassworks from Daum of Japan or collections of Alain Lesieutre, has always brought forward pieces of decorative arts from the first half of the 20th century.
