Enseignant depuis 2001 la recherche avancée en ingénierie et en architecture au Pratt Institute à New York ainsi qu’à l’Université de Columbia, il a publié de nombreux articles et essais dédiés à une réflexion sur la conception du projet. Au sein de son agence, Macapia collabore avec des ingénieurs et des mathématiciens. Sa recherche a été montrée dans de nombreuses expositions (L’architecture au-delà des formes, Marseille, 2007 ; Pavillon Seroussi, AA School, Londres, 2007 ; Maison Rouge, Paris, où il est co-lauréat avec EZCT du concours pour le Pavillon Seroussi ; Scriptedbypurpose, Philadelphie, 2007 ; Swarm, New York et Chicago, 2009 ; Ship of Theseus, Londres, 2009 ; Birth of Physics, New York, 2010 ; Search :___, New York, 2011). Doctor of art history (2003, Colombia University) graduate of philosophy and theology, Peter Macapia founded DORA (Design Office for Research and Architecture) in 2001 in New York; it is an innovative architectural agency focussed on computational and mathematical research called LABDORA since 2003. Having taught advanced engineering at the Pratt Institute in New York and Colombia University since 2001, he published numerous articles and essays dedicated to a reflection on the conception of the project. In the heart of his agency, Macapia collaborates with engineers and mathematicians. His research has been shown in many exhibitions (L’architecture au-delà des formes, Marseille, 2007 ; Pavillon Seroussi, AA School, London, 2007 ; Maison Rouge, Paris, where he is co-winner with EZCT of the competition for the Pavillon Seroussi ; Scriptedbypurpose, Philadelphia, 2007 ; Swarm, New York & Chicago, 2009 ; Ship of Theseus, London, 2009 ; Birth of Physics, New York, 2010 ; Search:___, New York, 2011.)
