    Notes:
The personal residence of the artist, the Villa Majorelle in Nancy specifically demonstrates the affection of Louis Majorelle to the "Monnaie du pape". The front door of the house, with a double door and three windows on its top has a wrought iron structure and a floral decoration dedicated to the "Monnaie du pape". The stairwell, illuminated by two large windows made by Gruber takes up this theme, giving the impression of a quite coherent spatial unit. "The light filtering through the windows spreads in the ambience given by the silvered and rustling leaves of the "Monnaie du pape", playing with the reflections of the dark wood …". The stairwell is lit by... "the extraordinary glass and wrought iron ceiling light" on the theme of the "Monnaie du pape", by Louis Majorelle and Jacques Gruber. The specimen we present is the only one known today.
