One Hundred Artworks by Renowned Urban Artists on Sale on April 19

In April, Paris celebrates contemporary creation through several major events, such as the Urban Art Fair or the extension of the CAPITALE(S) exhibition at the Hôtel de Ville de Paris. Our contemporary art department joins the celebration by auctioning a large selection of Urban Art on April 19.

Discover a selection of works by the greatest artists of this movement, from the pioneers to the emblematic figures of the contemporary scene. Among the key works in this sale, a palisade made by Toxic in 1990 will be featured alongside a monumental diptych by Cyril Kongo entitled “À une dame créole” (2019) in homage to the eponymous poem by Charles Baudelaire.

While the Pont des Arts was cleared in 2015 of the “love padlocks” placed by lovers that threatened the safety of the building, panels were made available to several artists, including Brusk, to serve as ephemeral railings for the bridge. Also up for auction will be one of 50 unique copies of the Guide d’Invasion 06 / Wipe Out in Hong Kong, originally presented at the HOCA Foundation in Hong Kong during the Invader exhibition in 2015, as well as one of the 30 Invasion Kit 13, Made in Japan signed, and a copy of the 2011 Yearbook published by Scraffer, mosaicked by the artist.
