HOW TO PAY ?

Every year, Tajan offers collectors in excess of 20,000 works of art through over 50 specialist and catalogued sales.

Paying for your purchases

Payment must be made immediately after the sale. If the successful bidder did not register before the sale, he/she must provide proof of identity and bank references. Payments may be made by one of the following methods:

ON LINE PAYMENT, you need to have references for : invoice and client number.
• Bank transfer in euros,
• Visa card or Master Card (subject to the presentation of valid profff of identity),
• Individuals may pay up to €3 000 inclusive of costs and taxes per sale in cash,
• Trade clients may pay up to �750 inclusive of costs and taxes per sale in cash,
•Certified banker’s draft in euros subject to the presentation of valid proof of identity.

Checks drawn on a foreign bank will not be accepted.

Terms of Sale and Bidding

Buyer's commission

The buyer must pay Tajan, in addition to the “hammer price”, commission of 23 % excl. tax of the sale price for the portion up to €20 000 and 20% excl. tax for the portion between €20 001 € to €600 000 and 12 % above €600 000. In addition, VAT shall be charged at the rate of 20 % (5.5% for books).
• In addition to the regular buyer's premium, a commission of 5.5% (i.e., 5.802% inclusive of VAT for books, 6.6% incl. VAT for the other lots) will be charged to the buyer
• In addition to the regular buyer's premium, a commission of 20% (i.e., 24% incl. VAT) will be charged to the buyer. This VAT shall be payable by the buyer.
These additional costs may, in certain cases, be reimbursed to the buyer. For more information, please contact our payment department on +33 1 53 30 30 33.

Taking possession of your purchases

In order to ensure that purchases can be collected as quickly as possible after payment, we advise buyers to give us precise dispatch instructions or details of when they will collect their purchases from Tajan. Tajan staff are available to help you organize your choice of delivery method, national or international carriage and to assist with any customs formalities that may be required. Please note that all dispatch and carriage costs must be met by the buyer.

Storage

Sold furniture and encumbering objects that have not been claimed post sale, will be stocked in our guarded premises at Transports MONIN.

You may claim your objects Monday-Friday from 9am to 5pm, one day after the sale (48 working hours after the sale), upon presentation of your released Purchase Auction Invoice.
Transport insurance and storage are covered by TAJAN for up to 14 days.
Beyond this delay, starting on the 15th day, insurance, storage fees and a standard fee will be billed directly to you by Transports MONIN, in accordance with the guidelines below :
By lot and by calendar day:
Storage fee: 3,8 € HT*
By lot:
Fixed transport fee: 50 € HT **
Fixed handling fee: 15 € HT
* + insurance premium of 0,6% of the value
** limited to 150 � HT
Transports MONIN will be happy to provide you with expedition estimates for your purchased lots upon simple request. Storage fees will cease the day that the estimate is accepted.
