OBTAINING A VALUATION
Free Estimates
To obtain an estimate of what your property is likely to fetch at auction, you can:
• send us photographs* by e-mail or post to Murielle Corbières
• bring your pieces to Tajan: Every Thursday, Free and Confidential Estimates without rendez-vous.
•arrange a home visit from one of our experts by calling Murielle Corbières on +33 1 53 30 30 16
•attend an Expert Valuation Day in your area. Our experts will then be able to give you a free and completely confidential valuation.
*Estimates given on the basis of photographs are given subject to a later visual examination of the piece(s) concerned.
Inventories
An inventory is the listing, systematic description and valuation of collection of pieces (paintings, furniture, art pieces, books, etc.), usually the property of a private owner. Inventories are made on your own premises by Tajan�s inventory clerks and experts, who travel from Paris to the rest of France and abroad. A written copy of every inventory is sent to the owner of the pieces concerned.
Why make an inventory of your personal property?
• to discover the value of a collection of property,
• to use as the basis for a division of property,
• when making a gift,
• to use when negotiating insurance cover,
• in the event of inheritance, etc...
How to arrange an inventory?

No charge will be made for inventories where the pieces concerned are entered in a Tajan sale. When the sale will not be made until a later date, the inventory charge will be refunded pro-rata for those pieces sold.”
