Evening sales opening at Tajan

From 29th of November, during fifteen days, Tajan organizes prestigious auctions of different specialties. The last auctions of the year propose important art works and artists and a selection of high quality objects. 

This exceptional auction session will open on Tuesday 29th of November, with an evening sale dedicated to Modern and Impressionist Art. Some important paintings will be sell, as a painting of Utrillo (lot 7), a watercolor of the Russian artist Tchistovsky and a group of Provence artists’ artworks (Olive, Matisse, Ambrogiani…). 

The week after, on 7th December, After-war & Contemporary Art auction will take place at 7p.m. The department selected important painting of Pierre Soulages (lot 23), a hypnotic Vasarely, an amazing creation by New York artist Kaws. Also, the auction will propose important paintings of famous contemporary artists, as César or Yaacov Agam. This prestigious auction will come before the Editions sale (on 6th December), a first for Tajan this year and a great opportunity for the younger generations to start collecting with entry level prices.

On 11th December, the auction of Asian Art submits amazing lots including two paintings signed by Vietnamese artist Mai-Thu, and a Begtse’s Tibetan statue. Over 340 lots that compose the catalogue, Tajan shows a subtle view of the chinese art, including a focus on Chinese literate objects. 

The 12th and 13th of December, Tajan organizes three Fine jewelry auctions, two days dedicated to jewelry and one sale dedicated to watches. This glamorous event will attract a lot of collectors : a lot of jewels from Place Vendôme designer (Cartier, Dior, Chanel), precious stones specially emeralds, lots of little signed jewelry as Buccellatti rings, a perfect Christmas presents (lots 309,310,311). On 12th December, the watches auction shows ancient and modern watches (Rolex, Audemars Piguet) or cufflinks for Gentlemen. For Ladies there will be an amazing selection of vintage watches. 

Finally, this greeting's season will finish with traditional Old Master Painting Auction. Our department will present an Nicolas Poussin’s art wok : La Sainte Famille avec saint Jean-Baptiste. Poussin painted about fifteen time this subject, changing characters’ number, putting ancient buildings and landscapes, leaving Venice model and being inspired by Raphael.
