ANNÉES 1865 STYLE NÉO-RENAISSANCE
MAGNIFIQUE PENDENTIF "HOLBEINESQUE"
Il est de forme ovale portant au centre une améthyste en châton à griffes, chacune ponctuée d'un diamant taillé en rose. L'entourage est émaillé en cloisonné polychrome également rehaussé de diamants taillés en rose. Bordure de petites perles fines et un pendentif carré en pampille. Le revers est finement gravé d'arabesques et de feuillages. Poids brut : 15,93 gr. Dim. 6,8 x 3,8 cm
L’origine des bijoux holbeinesques est discutée par Geoffrey Munn dans son ouvrage intitulé « Castellani and Guiliano, Revivalist Jewellers of the 19th century » (1983, p.165 sq). Il en ressort que les pendentifs du type de celui-ci apparaissent à Londres vers 1865 et sont proposés à une clientèle riche par des joailliers aussi prestigieux que Hancock, Robert Phillips, John Brogden et Carlo Guiliano. Ce style est évidemment à mettre en rapport avec l’esthétique pré-raphaéliste qui se répand en Angleterre après 1850. (réf : Fabian de Montjoye)

The buyer may collect purchased lots only after all amounts due to TAJAN have been paid (hammer price plus buyer's premium and any applicable taxes and costs).
In accordance with Article 14 of French Act no. 2000-642 of July 10th 2000,
if the successful bidder fails to pay for an item after the issuance of a formal demand that remains without effect,
Tajan reserves the right to claim the following from the false bidder:
- interest at the statutory rate,
- the reimbursement of the additional costs incurred by reason of his/her
default,
- payment of the sale price or:
- the difference between this price and the resale price if the latter is
lower, as well as the costs incurred in relation with the re-auction.
- the difference between this price and the original false bidder's price
if the latter is lower, as well as the costs incurred by the re-auction.
Tajan also reserves the right to offset any amounts which the false bidder
owes to it.
Tajan reserves the right to ban any bidder who fails to comply with its general
terms and conditions of sale from attending any future auction.
The lots can be released from 29th to 31st July (10am to 7pm) in Monaco and in Paris at TAJAN from tuesday 5th August to Friday 7th August.
The buyer must collect items as soon as possible. TAJAN shall not be bound by any warranty.
For bidder living outside European Union, local import taxes could be asked.
Any property on temporary admission from a country outside the EU, indicated by the symbol f or ff will be cleared through Paris and could not be delivered in Monaco.
