    Notes:
The work we are presenting here is an original sculpture made by Dali for the art publisher Ariane Lancell, whom Dali first met in 1968.
The red-haired beauty fascinated the artist who nicknamed her the 'Etincelle' (Spark).
Etincelle and Dali decided to collaborate on a special edition of Sigmund Freud's 'Moses and Monotheism,' which included Dali's valuable lithographs on lambskin. Their collaboration lasted four years (1970-1974) and, in 1979, Dali made a sculpture with the brass plates that had been used for the manuscript. He first executed a plaster cast and a preparatory model in 1973. Dali's work is different from Cesar's since Dali did not compress the symbols of everyday life but rather chose to compress in a cube shape the representation of a biblical episode: The Last Supper.
