THE SECRET OF THE ELEGANT LADIES
It was in the 18th century that women began to use these small bottles of various shapes filled with cotton wool and aromatic vinegar or ammonia salts to fight their languor. The result was an effervescent creation of models, such as miniature boxes, crystal flasks and pendants of all materials. The model here is made from a tiger's tooth, hollowed out and mounted in gold. The sculpture in the round is of the highest quality, with the tiger walking peacefully.
It lends a real majesty to this precious miniature object.
