This watch remained in the pilot's family.
"Brought from Switzerland in the 60's, this watch belonged to the Chief Pilot of the NATO Flight Training School, at that time located in Fontainebleau.
At the time when GPS did not exist yet, this Chief instructor taught the dead reckoning navigation to his students, using the timer to measure the time laps between several visual references on the ground to the destination aerodrome. This led him later to choose the Breitling Copilot with its chronograph for his flights".
