Fashion, Leather Goods & Luxury Accessories

Thursday, December 14, 2023

The Fashion, Leather Goods & Luxury Accessories sale conducted by Maître Louise de Causans on December 14 was a resounding success, confirming buyers’ interest in Hermès leather goods. Indeed, the “Kelly” model, available in an infinite number of sizes, models and materials, never ceases to arouse covetousness. Among the saddlery models, a splendid 28 cm red alligator model from the 1990s sold for €23,616* and a 32 cm black crocodile model from around 1993 fetched €14,169*. The 35 cm togo calfskin “gold” model went for €9,708*. A rare Louis Vuitton secretary trunk, steeped in history, was also presented for sale. Dated between 1924 and 1929 by the Vuitton Archives, it belonged to World War II resistance fighter Baroness Frieda Von Seidlitz, and has found a new owner for €26,600*. Finally, Chanel was also a great success, with a small “Chanel 19” bag in pink quilted lambskin selling for €5,918* and a rare and elegant circa 1960 coat in black curly wool with a white mink blazer collar fetching €10,758*.
