Fashion, Leather Goods & Luxury Accessories

The Fashion, Leather Goods & Luxury Accessories auction on December 10 achieved strong results, driven by keen interest in iconic designer pieces. A special mention goes to the outfits designed by John Galliano for Dior: the ensemble from the Fall-Winter 1999–2000 “In Modigliani’s Studio” collection, comprising an evening sheath dress and a loose tunic, reached €11,020, while the long evening dress from the Spring-Summer 1998 “Boudoir Spirit” collection soared to €15,960.

“Haute couture” accessories also generated enthusiasm, exemplified by a Chanel sautoir in gilt filigree metal with baroque inspiration, sold for €10,496. Other notable results included a Jean-Paul Gaultier redingote jacket (Spring-Summer 1994) at €1,862, an Hermès “Constance” 23 cm bag in box calf (circa 1979) sold for €4,256, and a 1930s Louis Vuitton cabin trunk that achieved €6,066.

Designer fashion jewellery also performed well, including an important French necklace from the 20th century created with Frances Patiky Stein, sold for €1,330; an Yves Saint Laurent bracelet with green and yellow cabochons at €1,197; and a French cuff bracelet x Frances Patiky Stein in gilt brass set with rhinestones, which reached €1,064. This auction once again highlights the growing appeal of iconic 20th-century fashion and accessories among collectors.
