Fine Jewellery

The Fine Jewellery auction held on 9 December 2025 achieved very strong results, illustrating the continued appeal among collectors for major names and iconic pieces from the 19th and 20th centuries.

Among the highlights were the superb diamond garland transformable necklace by Paul Templier (circa 1900), which sold for €19,680, as well as the important double-halo diamond ring, hammered down at €20,992. Creations from the 1920s were particularly successful, notably the exceptional round sapphire and diamond ring by Sasportas, sold for €38,048, the ribbon bracelet set with sapphires and diamonds attributed to Mauboussin, which achieved €12,595, and the magnificent emerald bangle bracelet, sold for €19,024.

Transformable jewels once again confirmed their enduring appeal, exemplified by the Pomellato transformable necklace, sold for €13,776, and the necklace attributed to Mellerio (1857). The top result of the sale was achieved by the four-strand natural pearl necklace by Van Cleef & Arpels, made by Pery et Fils (circa 1950), which reached €156,128, while creations from the 1960s–1970s, such as the multigem set dome clip by Hermès, crafted by Georges Lenfant, the anchor-chain sautoir by Van Cleef & Arpels, and the Chaumet bracelet, confirmed the strength of the market for signed and clearly identifiable jewellery.

This auction highlights several key trends: the dominance of major maisons (Van Cleef & Arpels, Hermès, Chaumet), the added value of provenance and attributions, and the sustained demand for transformable pieces and strong historical aesthetics (Art Deco, Egyptomania, 1920s and 1950s). The high prices achieved by signed and rare jewels reflect a selective market driven by buyers seeking gemological quality, prestigious signatures, and long-term heritage value.
